For general psychologists, the rebate is approx. $92.90 per session under the same conditions.
Are Telehealth psychology sessions eligible for Medicare rebates?
Yes, Telehealth psychology sessions are eligible for Medicare rebates. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian government expanded the availability of Medicare rebates to include Telehealth services to ensure continuity of care. You can claim the same rebate for Telehealth sessions as you would for face-to-face consultations, provided the psychologist is eligible and the service meets Medicare's requirements.
